Competitive Dance

Stars Ballroom offers students an opportunity to experience the
excitement and thrill of competition.
Competitions are available for dancers of all ages and dance levels of
proficiency. There are three types of competition dancing. First, there is the amateur competition
where a couple competes as a hobby or to eventually reach the professional
ranks. Second, there is the pro-am
competition where a professional teacher competes with a student. Last, there is the professional competition
where two professional teachers compete. In competition, the level of seriousness is different for each
individual. Some people compete for
fun and others for the challenge and goal achievement. However, in the end, the result is the same
- their dancing improves. For our competitive students, each competition is
a new learning experience and a fantastic opportunity to expose themselves to greater dancing. The students love the great music,
glamorous costumes and vibrant energy that fill the ballroom from morning until
